We want everyone to be able to read, navigate and use YACC’s website.

Our approach
Our accessibility target is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. This is a working target, not a claim of certification or complete conformance. We improve the site through code review and practical checks, and welcome reports of barriers.
Using the site
Use Tab and Shift+Tab to move between controls, and Enter or Space to activate buttons. A Skip to main content link appears when focused. Navigation, forms and privacy choices include accessible names and visible keyboard focus. English and Arabic layouts use the corresponding reading direction. Your device’s reduced-motion preference limits animation. Browser zoom and responsive layouts support larger text and smaller screens.
Known limitations
Some imported gallery images have general descriptions rather than detailed alternative text. Original newsletter PDFs may not have accessible tagging or reading order. Captions, transcripts and audio descriptions have not been verified for every Facebook video. Article summaries are not full transcripts. Embedded Facebook and Zeffy controls and emailed newsletters are supplied by other services and may have additional barriers. In an external donation iframe, Escape may not reach our page; move focus outside the frame with Tab to reach the Close control.

You can also contact us for help accessing information or donating without using an embedded form.
Review status
These improvements do not replace an independent accessibility audit or testing with disabled users and screen readers. We have not completed a comprehensive conformance audit. Remaining image descriptions, video alternatives, PDFs and third-party flows require continuing review.
